NTK, the sensor specialist, manufactures and supplies over half of original equipment oxygen sensors. Each NTK sensor is designed specifically for an OEM application down to the wire length, protective sleeve material grommets clips, and protection tube design. Covering over 95% of vehicles in operation today, NTK offers over 1350 part numbers. These sensors cover domestic European and Asian applications. Offering both switching and wideband technologies, NTK is continuously developing sensor technologies to work with new advanced vehicle computer components. Through these advancements, via our long-standing OE relationships, we have obtained the desirable position of market leader. Our presence and current share strengthen our ability to maintain that leadership placement. NTK oxygen sensors continue to experience OE share growth for parts in operation. Growing from a 35% share in 2002 to a share of over 50% in 2019. This continued advancement places NTK in the unique position to become the future of the aftermarket for O2 sensors.

Newer, smarter wideband sensors are being used in the upstream positions on vehicles, and this trend will continue due to emission standard restrictions. It’s also important to mention that we are now seeing the first wideband sensors downstream. NTK is one of the few manufacturers to provide this helpful location information in its catalog data and point-of-purchase sales aids.

The same product expertise engineering and manufacturing quality found in every NGK spark plug can also be found in our oxygen sensors. To ensure quality and authenticity, each part must pass extensive testing procedures and quality checks to ensure fit and performance. They are then placed into a branded poly bag to guard against counterfeits and combat faulty returns.
